Mature Black Couple Meeting With Estate Planning attorney to create a willThe pandemic has radically altered perceptions on a variety of different issues and estate planning comes in at the top of that list.

Young Adults Are Seeing how Estate Planning Works

Those people who have had a serious case of COVID-19 are 66% more likely to have already created a will than those who did not get seriously sick, according to a 2022 wills and estate planning study conducted by caring.com. The number of young adults who now have estate planning documents also increased dramatically by up to 50% in the area of the pandemic.

Even though there have been significant increases in the numbers of people who have accomplished getting their estate planning done, one in three people still do not have a basic will. Even without a large retirement fund, expensive home or any other valuable assets, there is no minimum level of wealth required to put together an estate plan and you can make things much easier for your loved ones by doing the necessary planning in advance.

If you have recently turned 18 or are in college, you need to work with an experienced lawyer to help you create an estate plan. A lawyer can help you cover the basic needs for estate planning for young adults.

We Make Wills and Estate Planning Easier

If you have minor children or specific wishes about what you do want to happen to the assets in your estate, it is very important to document these in a will. Schedule a time to meet with a dedicated estate planning lawyer to learn more.
